5 Blog Posts

You'll need to read the next 5 blog posts for the complete picture of what I'm bringing to the market this weekend. Or you can just look at the pictures. I'm bringing furniture this week. This is the furniture blog post. The daisy shaped faux marble 60's table is unique. Ikea hasn't even knocked off this design. It's small too. It will fit in your apartment. $100 firm (until 2:30 on Sunday.) The blue chairs are returning for an encore. Yes, the upholstery has problems. Yes, $125 for the pair is cheap. I remembered to photograph the $40 stack tables after loading them in my van, but you don't mind turning your head and imagining how great they'll look at your place, do you? Speaking of my van, actually my mom's van, you can see it in the photo of the table. I included it in the picture on purpose. I want my customers to know the shame and humiliation I endure in order to bring attractive, affordable furniture to Brooklyn. It says, "Al & Paul's Rent-a-Ride" on the side. It says it on the back and on the other side too. 7 years ago my mom decided that leasing this van to own was a great deal. It gets the furniture from point A to point B. But every trip, I generally answer at least 3 questions as to nature of this Rent-a-Ride business. People frequently inquire about the rates. Someone approached my mom once and asked her for a ride to the airport. And there have been more colorful and imaginative questions. When I junked my bright blue chevy cargo van, I swore I would never sell furniture again. It's a hard habit to break. So, please buy all my furniture. If I bring anything back from Brooklyn, I'll be driving the Rent-A-Ride straight to the Artificial Marketplace in New Bedford. There's an upstart there who claims he can sell furniture the second it walks in the door.
