I'm starting a new weekly feature on my blog. I'm calling it, "Why do I still have this?" It's my attempt to show you, the buying public, the light. The unicorns are $6 each. C'mon people. I don't drive from Rhode Island to Brooklyn to make $3 sales. OK, I do, but it's ridiculous that I do that. Unicorns are cool! I actually picked up like 6 pieces of unicorn jewelry today. Maybe I'll feature an enchanted unicorn forest next week. OK, this is ridiculous. If you just buy the unicorns, nobody wastes their time reading and writing blogs about unicorns. The Bjorn Wiinblad Trivet. Yes, it's just a trivet. But it's by Bjorn Wiinblad. He's kind of important. And it's $12. I've had that piece since before I started using my fancy logo price tags. There's no need for all this hesitation, people. You can buy Scandinavian designs for $12 and not feel guilty about it. You can even rest your hot pots on $12 modern art and not feel a shred of remorse. The Swedish teak and stainless server thing: ok, maybe you have a good excuse for not buying this. I don't know what it is or what you would do with it either. But it's cool. I'm firing it off on ebay next week. That 5 strand pearl and aurora borealis bead necklace is boss. Look at it! It's gorgeous. The shape of the crystals is rare. It's in perfect condition. OK, anyone who reads this blog post can have that piece for $20. Just pick it up, approach me, and say, "Why do you still have this?" and I'll know you're one of the cool kids. And, well, you had your chance to buy the Arabia of Finland luncheon service for 6 for $100. But you stalled. Ebay is going to eat that up too.
